What was once an outpost with a single shop has grown into a market center with more than 20 buildings and shops operated by community members. Today, it provides a place for residents to sell goods and services to the schools, medical clinic, and surrounding communities.
RCP did not create the market, but the establishment of its two schools and medical clinic helped drive its growth. The people attending, visiting, and working at these institutions provide a customer base that helps sustain local businesses.
The market’s growth shows how investments in education and healthcare can create benefits throughout a community, supporting livelihoods beyond the institutions themselves.
