Youth Education

Our sustainability road maps are designed to ensure that every project we undertake has a lifeline for generations to come. We are keen to explore every way we can initiate and advance projects that are sustainable and limitless.

Rabondo Primary School

Rabondo Primary School was the first project initiated and completed by RCPUSA. In 1996, children at the school were learning under trees or dilapidated structures in the community. Today, 975 primary school children are attending classes in classrooms constructed and furnished by RCPUSA.

St. Timon’s Rabondo Secondary School

The secondary school was constructed with funds from RCPUSA to provide a place for students leaving the primary school to transition to secondary school within the community. There are currently over 800 learners enrolled in grades 9 through 12.

The school is run by the Ministry of Education, having been handed over by RCPUSA after completion. The Ministry of Education provides teachers for our students. In addition, RCPUSA has provided supplementary funds to pay for PTA-hired teachers who are not paid by the government. RCPUSA has continued to support the secondary school by building and furnishing classrooms, an administration block, a kitchen and a dining hall.

Teacher’s Housing

With the help of many generous donors we’ve been able to provide teachers with housing. We have five houses on campus available for our teachers allowing them to live within the community.
