RCPUSA holds 25th anniversary event

On September 16, the Rabondo Community Project USA held its 25th Anniversary event. This event honored our donor’s impact on the Rabondo village over the years, and celebrated our founder, the late Timon Bondo. The event was a great success and we thank everyone who was a part of the wonderful turnout at The Marsh in Minnetonka.

Highlights of the event included:

  • Board member Hosea Ojwang kicked off the event and shared the goals of the organization.

  • Board member Shea Ahern discussed her experience traveling to and staying in the Rabondo village in 2022.

  • Close friend Father Forliti shared his experience with the organization and his relationship with founder Timon Bondo.

  • The Titambe drum ensemble delivered an exciting, interactive performance.

“My name is Anne Achieng Orieko. I am 28 years old. I am a beneficiary of the generosity of donors and supporters of Rabondo Community Project USA, who supported my education and care when I was a young girl. The support that I received changed my life and I am forever grateful to the late Timon Bondo and the organization that he started for giving an opportunity for not just me, but to many other young people.”
