Safe Water Distribution

Hauling buckets of water for miles was a grueling task that characterized daily life in Rabondo village. That changed with the construction of a water well in 2011. With funding from the Rotary Club International and RCPUSA, a borehole was drilled on the grounds of the secondary school. This facility provides clean water to the students, teachers, and members of the community.

We are currently looking for funds to finance the distribution phase of the safe water project. The distribution phase will include erecting a storage tank that will then supply water to different points within the RCPUSA sponsored institutions (secondary school, primary school, Rabondo Clinic) provide water points for community use.

  • Approximately $35,000 is needed to complete this phase.

  • Water to service 6k people/day to the entire community
