Hosea Ojwang

Executive Director, Board Chairman

Hosea Ojwang brings more than 30 years of experience in human resource management and consulting to his role as Executive Director and Board Chair of RCPUSA. He currently serves as a Senior Resources Consultant at Boynton Health at the University of Minnesota, where he previously spent 25 years as the Director of Human Resources. His leadership career has been shaped by a deep commitment to organizational development, community impact, and strengthening systems that support long-term growth.

Hosea’s connection to RCPUSA began in 2006, when he attended a board meeting one spring morning and immediately felt compelled to support the organization’s mission. Over the years, he has served in multiple capacities, including Secretary and Treasurer, before being elected by the RCPUSA Board to lead as Chairman and Executive Director in September 2020. His collaborative approach and long history with the project continue to shape the organization’s strategic direction.

Beyond his work with RCPUSA, Hosea has held leadership roles with several nonprofits in Kenya and the United States, including service on the boards of Voluntary Agency Development Assistance, the Kenya-Finland Primary Health Care Programme, and New Americans Community Service in the Twin Cities. His vast experience gives him a broad understanding of community needs and effective organizational governance.

Hosea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Literature from the University of Nairobi and is a PhD candidate in Human Resources Development at the University of Minnesota. He remains driven by a lifelong commitment to empowering communities through education, opportunity, and strong institutional foundations.
