Believing in Dreams - Meet Queen Okello

Queen Okello became a RCPUSA scholar by accident. While attending a women’s meeting, an RCPUSA volunteer came to find out about her plight: She had finished high school two years prior but her chances of proceeding to school were almost nil because her mother could not afford tuition and other college expenses. The volunteer asked her to contact RCPUSA. She was introduced to the late Timon Bondo, the founder and former leader of RCPUSA. Timon informed her that the organization was at capacity, but with the help of your generous donations we were able to secure the funding she needed. “The scholarship support means so much. I could write an essay about how much it helped me and others,” say Queen Okello, who is graduating from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Commerce degree this May.
